I was, unfortunately saying the same thing at lunch. I predicted this strategy as a way for Iraq to make us out to be even worse monsters than they are. The only thing I could thing of when I saw Saddam out rallying people was that he was getting folks psyched to go take on the US soldiers. That included civilians. So now our country will have to shoot through civilians to get at the repulican guards. One can easily imagine 10’s of thousands dead before morning.
Let’s hope not.
