My mail server at work lost a memory chip. The bios kindly told me that the amount of memory the computer was reporting was not the same as was listed in the bios. This was just before Windows tried to load and died with a hardware error and lots of hex codes.
It's just lucky that I had an identical machine to put the hard drive into or I wouldn't be home this ...early.
